Take a Hike: Springbrook in the spring

I love hiking at Springbrook. It’s not too far from home. It’s rarely every very busy. The trails are great. I really have nothing bad to say about this place. This may not have been the best day for a hike, but the cooler temps and occasional sprinkle of rain meant that the nearly 2 mile hike wasn’t going to make me feel like I was dying by the time I got back to my car.

It was fun to see spring really coming to life in the woods on this hike. There was new growth on trees, wildflowers popping up, and turtles lounging on logs in the pond. I even managed to spy a woodpecker working over a small tree.
