Take a Hike: Fall at Brushy Creek

Brushy Creek in Webster County is by far one of my favorite places to hike. I was here in October and was lucky enough to get a good glimpse of the fall foliage around the lake.

I have a couple favorite trails that I usually hike at least a portion of when I’m there, but this time I added another section of trail I’d never explored to the list. I ended up finding a bridge that stretched over the water, giving me some picturesque views of the lake and the beautiful fall colors reflecting off of it.

I spent the better part of a day exploring trails, sitting by the water, and breathing in the October air. As I look back on this day, I ache for spring–for bright greens and vibrant wildflowers. I can’t wait to get back out there soon!
