So, I’ve been on a bit of a blog hiatus. My daily job keeps me quite busy sometimes and this unfortunately gets set aside. But, I sill have may adventures to share with you from last fall, so bear with me while I get them all sorted out.
Today’s fall throw back is to Palisades-Kepler. I hiked here on a day that it happened to be 94 in the shade, so I hiked until noon, ate my picnic lunch, and then headed off to my next Eastern Iowa destination. I loved this park and will definitely be going back this fall. Next time, however, I plan to pick a day that’s hopefully in the 60s.
Palisades-Kepler, near Mount Vernon, Iowa, was a beautiful place to hike. It is listed as having six miles of trails. I hiked two different ones, both along the Cedar River. The views were spectacular. The unique rock cliffs along the river make this park a must-visit.
